Distribution Warehouse, Bolton

MJM provided civil and structural engineering for a new 330,000 sq ft distribution warehouse at Little Hulton, Bolton. The £23 million scheme replaced an existing warehouse on a steep site with basements, asbestos and retaining walls. The site presented several ground-related constraints and optimising the groundworks was critical.

Supermarket Regional Distribution Centre, London

MJM provided civil and structural engineering for a £82 million project, 400,000 sq ft Regional Distribution Centre at Belvedere on the bank of the Thames.
The former factory site had contaminated ground, poor near-surface soils and historic underground tunnels, while levels also needed raising for flood risk.

Supermarket Distribution Centre, Luton

MJM provided civil and structural engineering for the client’s largest worldwide Regional Distribution Centre at 1.2 million sq ft and half a kilometre long.
The site includes frozen, chilled and ambient storage, a first-floor warehouse, a three-storey office block and a 35m bridge to the car park.

Train Manufacturing Facility, Goole

The Goole Train Manufacturing Facility, delivered by Siemens, aims to put Goole at the forefront of the rail manufacturing industry. The project will deliver circa 860,000sqft of manufacturing, commissioning, warehouse buildings and stabling sidings, as well as office and welfare facilities.

Scottish Courage, Tadcaster

Following careful examination for the requirements for bottling in the future, Scottish Courage Brewing Limited proposed a new bottling facility on the existing John Smith’s Brewery Site at Tadcaster.

Asda Home Shopping Distribution Centre, Nottingham

Conversion and extension of existing industrial unit to form 100,000 sqft automated home shopping distribution centre for Asda. The project included installation of a 7,000 sqft storage mezzanine and elevated fully automated conveyor system.

Hazlewood Foods, Hull

This bakery commenced production in March 2001 and at £14.0m and 263,000 sq. ft. is the largest facility in Europe. The fastrack design and build programme with Miller Construction was completed on time and to budget overcoming adverse weather and ground conditions to produce an extremely cost effective building.

Storage King, Hounslow

New-build self-storage unit in Hounslow, adjacent to Heathrow airport.
Mutli-storey unit with 82,260 sq ft internal floor area, split over four floors. The majority of storage area is provided by demountable mezzanine structure.

SP Print, Redditch

A design and build 150,000 sq. ft. print production building for Gazeley Properties completed in only 12 weeks despite adverse weather and ground conditions.

Euro Car Parts, Tamworth

A 780,000sqft distribution warehouse with a further 230,000sqft concrete mezzanine was required as part of the fit out. The building is 18m to underside of haunch and TGW were responsible for providing all MHE for the project including a Mini-Load, Stingray,
