A 97000 sq ft retail unit constructed ‘on stilts’ for Morbaine. The site was bounded by a viaduct to one side and the Water of Leith to the other so all works had to be completed to the approval of both SEPA and Network Rail.
Tesco, Leicester

A new timber framed Tesco Store constructed on this prominent site near Leicester City Centre. The site had many challenges including demolition works, diversion of a large brick egg sewer, intrusive archaeological survey within the building footprint and highway and junction works to one of the main arterial roads into Leicester.
Asda Retail Supercentre, Manchester

At approximately 180,000 sq ft this is one of the largest Asda WalMart supercentres in Europe. Opened in time for the Commonwealth Games the site is an important gateway into a deprived area of Manchester currently being regenerated by the adjacent Commonwealth Games stadium and Velodrome.

A large modern foodstore and non-food retail units on a site formerly occupied by a large plastics moulding factory. The old factory was demolished as part of a site preparation contract and all granular material crushed for re-use as hardcore and sub-base during the building contract.

The existing non-food unit was to be sub-divided into three separate units, one of which was a change of use to food retail. As part of the refurbishment, the roof was to be re-clad.

A large modern food store and factory outlet retail units on a site had an extensive and varied industrial history including canning factories and various shipbuilding and repair facilities. The foodstore and service yard were fully piled with a suspended ground floor slab. The factory outlet units were treated by vibro compaction allowing shallow pad and strip foundations and a ground bearing slab.
