Grand Hotel, Birmingham

A £36m project to create a 4*+ luxury hotel with 180 bedrooms within the shell of this historic Grade 2* building for Principal Hotels. The hotel works started on site in September 2018 for opening in mid 2020.

North East School of Independent Learning (SILC) Leeds

This is a new school for specialist learning located on the site of a historic redundant specialist learning school. As the school is located on a sloping site, a split level ‘L’ shaped design has been produced to minimise site earthworks and also enable the many stats, which cross the site, to remain insitu without diversion.

South School of Independent Learning (SILC) Leeds

A new school for specialist learning. The new structure is a 2 storey building of regular shape constructed of SIPs panels with intermediate steelwork to enhance the structural rigidity. The ground under the structure was improved by vibro improved to limit the settlements under the desired loads.

Roundhay School, Leeds

The structure is a multi-storey steel braced frame supporting precast concrete floors and a lightweight roof structure. The foundation solution comprised traditional pad foundations and strip footings bearing onto the underlying stiff clays or bedrock.
