A seafront residential project of 62 high end apartments in a very exposed coastal location at Westward Ho! overlooking Bideford Bay in North Devon. The structural solution adopted for the “S” shaped floor plan was an insitu reinforced concrete frame of up to 6 storeys plus basement parking all supported on flight augered piles. Especial attention was required to the specification of materials and detailing to withstand the exposed and aggressive conditions.
