MJM provided structural engineering for a new 1,200-place secondary school in Northampton.
The project was the first operational use of the Seismic platform-based construction system, which MJM helped develop. The main teaching areas use 210 factory-made modules, while a hybrid structure provides the larger spans needed for the halls.
MJM contributed to the design and validation of the system during design and construction, helping deliver a school built 75% faster than traditional construction.
