The £7.0m third phase of the re-development of the airport was completed to provide new international arrivals and baggage handling facilities together with a new elevated airside walkway linking to the earlier Phases I and II departure facilities.
This project required complex engineering at the interface with the existing terminal which had to be kept fully operational at all times with no compromise on the safety of airport staff, passengers and construction personnel.
